Sports Construction Engineering Guide

Detailed layer-by-layer construction systems for every sport surface type we build — from sub-grade earthwork to the final wear coat, using international engineering standards.

Sub-Grade (Earthwork)
Excavation & leveling using laser grader. Soil compaction (95% Proctor density). Slope design for drainage (0.5%–1%).

Sub-Base Layer
Crushed stone / WMM (Wet Mix Macadam). Thickness: 100–200 mm. Vibratory roller compaction.

Base Layer (Asphalt / PCC)
Option A: Bitumen mix asphalt — 40–60 mm thickness. Option B: M20/M25 concrete slab — 100–150 mm with reinforcement mesh.

Shock Pad Layer
EVA / Rubber / Polyurethane pad. Thickness: 8–15 mm. Function: shock absorption + player safety.

Artificial Turf Carpet
PE / PP fibers. Pile height: 40–60 mm (football), 12–18 mm (hockey). UV-resistant synthetic grass system.

Infill System
Silica sand (bottom stability) + SBR rubber granules (shock & bounce control). Brushed & leveled to spec.
Result: FIFA / FIH level playing surface. High durability (8–12 years life). All-weather usability.

Asphalt base (bituminous concrete, 30–50 mm) or PCC base (M20 concrete, 100–125 mm with steel mesh).

Surface Preparation
Surface grinding. Crack filling (polymer modified filler). Primer application for bonding.

Acrylic Resurfacer Layer
2–3 coats of acrylic + silica sand mix. Purpose: leveling + texture base.

Cushion Coat (Optional)
Rubberized acrylic layer, 1–3 mm thickness. Provides shock absorption for joints.

Color Coating System
2 coats UV-resistant acrylic color paint with anti-slip texture finish.

Line Marking
PU or acrylic line paint. Precision marking as per sport rules and international standards.

PU Wear Layer
Thickness: 2–3 mm. Provides elasticity and performance characteristics.

EPDM Top Spray Layer
UV-resistant rubber spray. Anti-slip finish. Color options: red, blue, green.
Result: Full PU, Sandwich, Spray-Coat & EPDM track systems. Professional athletic performance. International competition standard.

Rubber pads / spring system over wooden battens structure for area-elastic performance.

Sanding & Finishing
Multi-stage sanding (3–5 passes). PU sealant coating. Court line marking to BWF/FIBA spec.
